Set up Vinton to use with Slack Huddles

Vinton can join your Slack Huddles to record, transcribe and summarise them, adding all the detail from your huddle into Salesforce against related records (user, contact, lead etc).

 1. Add your Slack domain to Nativevideo Admin

  1. Go to Nativevideo Admin → Vinton → Slack.

  2. Give the Slack Notetaker a name e.g. Notetaker Vinton or Vinton Notetaker or [your name] Notetaker.

  3. Add your Slack Domain which you’ll find in your Slack instance.

  4. Add a join message that will appear when Vinton joins a Slack Huddle.

  5. Choose whether Vinton should auto-join public huddles.

  6. Choose whether Vinton should ask to join private huddles.

  7. Add an icon to represent the notetaker in a Slack Huddle.

  8. Click Update.

2. Connect the new notetaker to Slack

  1. Once updated, a new field appears called bot email.

  2. Copy this email address.

  1. Invite that email address to your Slack instance (it might take 5-6 mins to join).

3. Testing Vinton for Slack

If you set the bot to always join a public huddle, you can test this out by starting a huddle in your Slack and Vinton should join.
