What's displayed in the Vinton library?
Vinton adds notes and other AI-generated text to the related records in Salesforce. Browse to your Contact or Opportunity and you’ll see all the recordings related to those records. But to view all recordings in one place, with additional conversation insights and intelligence, go to the Vinton Library.
The Vinton Library contains all of the meetings and calls that users were invited to, or hosted, (depending on their Vinton setup), as well as voice notes recorded by the user.

1. Settings cog
Via the Settings within the Vinton Library, you can connect your calendar to Vinton and choose your Notetaker name and Meeting Join Preferences.
2. Vinton Library List
Within the Vinton Library, on the right hand side all of the user’s meetings, calls and notes are listed in date order.
These can be filtered by type, or users can search for specific meetings by keyword.
3. Individual meeting view
Meeting information
In the top left, you’ll see the title of your meeting, date and time it took place and participants.
Ask Vinton button
The Ask Vinton is prominently placed above the meeting recording.
Click on Ask Vinton opens the Vinton chatbot to ask questions about your meeting. Chats are not retained when the chat window is closed.
Copy Share Link
The Copy Share Link button generates a public link to be able to share your Vinton meeting with people outside of your Salesforce Org. Note that your Admin must have enabled the creation of Sharing Links in order for this to work.
Media playback
You can playback your recording from directly within Salesforce.
You can choose to display or hide subtitles and to adjust the playback speed.
Quick links to key areas
Under the meeting recording you’ll see a summary of the meeting minutes sections, the key topics mentioned and the associated records.
By clicking on an Associated Record, it will open the record page with the Vinton component displaying any of the Vinton meetings that are linked to that record.
Editing the media file
In the top right corner of the recording preview, the three dots enable you to trim the beginning and / or end of your recording (eliminating any chitchat for example) or to delete the media file. Note: this does not delete all of the text insights, just the video or audio recording.
Overview
In the middle section, you can:
Expand the summary, edit or copy it.
Download the summary as a text file
If your Org is using Prompt Templates, you can see which template was used to generate summary and insights for this call. You can reprocess your insights with a different language or using a different prompt template.
Also on the Overview tab you’ll see details about Time Spent Speaking. “See more details” to learn more about this, and also the top five topics discussed.
Time spent speaking
The time spent speaking tab shows us the percentage of the call that each person spent speaking.
We can see individual interactions during the call, such as the time someone joined, the time they shared their screen or sent a public chat message. You can filter these interactions by attendee.
Under that, we also see the Longest Monologue information. By clicking on one of those, you can jump to that section of the video call.
Topics
Although we had a list of main topics on the Overview tab, on the topics tab we see even more detail with the percentage of the call taken up with discussion of that topic. We also see other mentions during the call.
Minutes
AI generates a list of sections for calls and meetings, with a summary to each section so you get a brief understanding of what was discussed in each. You can edit these sections. It’s easy to copy each section should you need to use the text elsewhere. By clicking on any of the sections, again you can jump to that part of the video call.
Follow up
Under Follow Up is an email that Vinton has generated based on the call. Users can copy or edit this and send to other call attendees.
Users can regenerate a follow-up email choosing from some templates:
If you decide you want to revert to the original template, you can click the arrow button as shown.
Next steps
Vinton generates suggestions for tasks to do after the meeting. You can easily create a Salesforce task from each of these, you can edit the existing suggestions or even add New Items to the list.
When you create a task from a Vinton next step, you can set who it should be assigned to, any related records (i.e. a contact or lead), the due date (due date is automatically set to one week’s time from the create date but you can adjust it here), and any additional comments.
Transcript
The full transcript is provided for each call or note. You can download the transcript, search within the transcript or filter it by speaker. You can also find and replace words in the transcript. You can replace individual instances, or all instances. Go to the Transcript guide.
Highlights
Vinton’s AI coaching will give your meetings a “dialogue score” and select moments from the call that are positive or negative.
Coaching
Finally the Coaching will score the meeting overall, using meeting best practices as a baseline. Vinton will indicate some overall observations and then some areas of improvement. Clicking on one of the areas for improvement will take you to that section of the call.
4. In-Person Meeting View
When you choose an in-person meeting from your library, you’ll see a similar view to a video call. However you might not see the media recording if your Org has chosen not to retain recordings of in-person meetings.
One thing to note is that for in-person meetings, Vinton won’t necessarily know who is speaking as there are no email addresses associated with the voice. You can easily assign speakers to records in Salesforce.
5. Feedback
At the bottom of every meeting you’ll see “These insights are generated by AI. Got feedback?” and you can hit a thumbs up or thumbs down. This enables you to provide any feedback on the insights so we can keep improving our services.
6. Vinton library buttons
In your library list are a selection of buttons. Some will only appear when a meeting or note is selected. Let’s run through what each of the buttons means.
Assign records
Next is the Assign a Record button. This enables you to assign this particular meeting to a record in Salesforce e.g. a specific case, opportunity, contact, user.
Reprocess
This will allow you to reprocess your call in a different language or using a different prompt template.
Generate sharing link
If sharing is enabled in your Org, users can generate a public sharing link to share the call recording with people external to your Salesforce Org.
Delete
Finally the bin icon allows you to delete the entire meeting record. Only meeting owners or admins can delete.
7. Hey Vinton
This Hey Vinton button enables you to record audio. From the Salesforce web app, Vinton will automatically detect whether the audio is a single or multiple voices and will automatically choose to log it as a Voice Note or an In-person meeting accordingly. You can also use the Vinton mobile app to record voice notes and in-person meetings. Learn more about voice notes or in-person meetings.
8. Upload files
The small upload button to the right of “Hey Vinton” enables you to upload a video or audio file that was recorded without Vinton and Vinton will process it like it does any other video or audio, and add it to your list of recordings.
9. Ad hoc meeting
The small camera+ icon enables you to add a meeting link and add Vinton to a meeting which is currently happening, or a future meeting where perhaps you are not the host.
Simply paste in the Zoom, Teams or Meet link.
