Setting up an Org-Wide Email address for Vinton notifications
After meetings, Vinton sends email notifications to meeting owners and internal attendees with details of the meeting. See the example below.
The sender of these emails is, by default, the user who is connected with the Nativevideo back end. This is often the Salesforce Administrator who set up the Nativevideo / Vinton integration. Admins can set an Org-wide email address so that the notification email sender is a generic, neutral email.
1. Go to Setup
Go to Setup and search for organization-wide email addresses.
Click Add to add your Vinton org-wide email.
Give your org-wide email a Display Name e.g. Vinton. Make sure you remember this as you’ll need the Display Name later on.
Next add the email address for your sender. If you are using an Org-wide notetaker, you should use the same email address. You must be able to access the mailbox to verify it.
Set “Allow all profiles”, then click Save.
2. Verify the email address
Go to the inbox for the email address you added. You should see an email from Salesforce asking you to verify the use of the email as an org-wide email. You’ll need to click to Verify before going on to the next steps.
Once verified, go to the Nativevideo admin panel.
From the left select Vinton, then Generic Configurations.
On the Notifications tab, make sure “Enable Vinton Email Notifications” is toggled on. Then in the Display Name box, enter the display name for the org-wide email address that you added to Vinton – exactly as you added it in Setup.
Once you click Save, any email notifications that are sent after meetings will now come from this email address.
