“Access to media was forbidden. Click to retry.” error message when trying to record a new video

When trying to record a video you might end up seeing an error like this:

This error is just related to your local browser settings and can easily be fixed.

Please look at the navigation bar of your browser, and specifically at the icons presented at the right hand side of the URL.

When clicking on the icon pointed by the red arrow above, make sure that the browser is allowed to access your camera and microphone, as per the image below.

Click on “Done” and finally click on the error message you encountered at the beginning of this page, the recorder should reload and you should be able to see yourself on camera.
